SampleSafe^® External Sampling Devices

The SampleSafe® ST (standard model) and SampleSafe® ST Dual (dual valve model) are external oil sampling devices with the protection of a secure steel enclosure. Arc-flash exposure is one of the biggest risks when sampling cabinet transformers. SampleSafe external sampling devices move sampling access outside the cabinet, allowing technicians to take oil samples and support oil analysis without de-energizing or opening the transformer door.

SampleSafe ST (standard model) includes all parts required to install a bottom valve extension inside a protective, powder-coated steel enclosure on the exterior of the transformer. This kit also contains provisions to relocate the pressure/vacuum gauge to the interior of the enclosure and, if one exists, the pressure relief valve (PRV) or pull ring. A viewing window is also provided on the secondary side cabinet door to view the level and temperature gauges, and for visual inspection.
